The schnitzel was unseasoned and tasted like old frying fat. The waitress was not a specialist and is reluctant to respond to her guests only when asked several times. The prices of drinks and food are way too overpriced. The location was dingy and smelled musty. Corona regulation and data protection are not really important. Masks are required, but the cutlery is already open on the table and extra bread is brought without a plate. The visitor list must be entered in a booklet and can be viewed by every guest. The reservation confirmed by email was also not taken into account, which is passed on to the guest.
I am shocked at the price / performance ratio. Completely overpriced and food marginal. Smells and tastes musty. No experienced specialist staff. And last but not least, cutlery and napkins! "WITHOUT WORDS"
Nicely decorated. Enjoy your meal. Everything OK.
Rustic, tasty and value for money fit
Unfortunately the Käsespätzle were soaked in fat even if the waitress said that it was the butter but unfortunately that has nothing to lose in the spaetzle even if you use it to pan. We then gave it back & the waitress said that the cook would close the kitchen. Conclusion without food from the shop.
I can understand that in Corona times it is difficult for restaurants to organize the hygiene measures. But we were treated so openly and rude by the overburdened service that we left the restaurant after 15 minutes. With the remark "you have caused us a lot of inconvenience". (Since we sat briefly on the square and now everything had to be disinfected)
The nicest service in the world, delicious food, very nice location.
Super nice service isn't that often
the food (onion steak with horseradish and potato digger + salad) would have been okay in and of itself - unfortunately everything was arranged on a plate and the potato diggers were soaked in the vinegar from the salad dressing - NOT AT ALL WORK !!!!!! - When I made a complaint, I only got a lack of understanding and was given a small plate to save my onion steak ....... A pity Would have been a nice ambience Then we go to the Italian restaurant every evening for the duration of our stay in Erbach
We were there 3 times within 2 weeks, because our boys were very enthusiastic about the 'roe goulash'. In short; we felt very comfortable 🙂 Thank you very much!
Actually, one star is still too many. I can't tell you anything about the food, as it was not possible to try the food. We (family 4 people) went on an excursion and decided that we should eat something in Ebrach. That's when we came across this restaurant. We put on our mouthguards (as necessary) and looked for a table. Far from everyone else There was no sign with directions from the restaurant. Only the usual hygiene instructions. So we thought okay, let's go to a table. It was an outside table. Not indoors! When we got to the table, we took off the masks as this is allowed. We haven't fully sat down yet, the condition will hit us. Why? No idea. We asked again what she meant. We are approached again, that we should stand at the entrance again, put on face masks and wait. You're reading the irony right now, aren't you? For in my opinion senseless action of the service. If there is no free choice of seating or the like, this should be written somewhere. And you can say this politely to money-making customers. But no, this was not possible. We left after a meaningless discussion and ate wonderfully elsewhere 👍😏 also in Ebrach. 😁😊
Good and cheap. What more do you want?
The landlord cooks delicious food. The schnitzel is highly recommended. Friendliness and a beautiful ambience create a feel-good atmosphere
The old train station is a real insider tip. We arrived there very exhausted after a long, hard hike and were initially well supplied with cool drinks (Schlenkerla smoked beer) in the beer garden. The pork fillet could hardly have been better and the service, who is also the landlady, was extremely straightforward and nice. We asked for a pharmacy because we had blisters on our feet, then the host even drove me to the pharmacy and back. The pension is a bit old, but the price-performance ratio is totally right. The interior is an old train station, so it is well worth seeing, especially for lovers of detail. Breakfast was also full of love. Gladly again and thank you for the nice hospitality.
Decent food, they run out of beer (unlike the local Kloster braü). Clean accommodation but not very helpful lady owner.
We were in transit and found a campsite in the area to spend the night and came out of the Bahnhof to eat a great shnitzel in a train wagon. ... very nice and good food too. unexpected pleasure ... top
Cool location, food good
Very tasty schnitzel with pommes. Certainly worth the 5 stars. The price also leaves nothing to be desired. And also close to the weihersee campsite ...
Cozy in the old middle-class stalk. Nice hosts and good food, everything freshly prepared. We felt well
Stopped here on our travels. It was a hidden gem. Just off the main Street in the old station, it has a large outdoor area but a nice former railway carriage as a dining room. The food was good, with a large portion size and very well priced. I would recommend for anyone in the are to call in for a nice pint and a meal.
We liked the friendly service. Improvement would be there the food. Salad and food can no longer serve as a tavern standard.
